What We Believe

1. The Bible
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is God’s inspired Word (II Tim. 3:16), fully true and without error in the original manuscripts. It is the final authority for faith and life, understood through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Manna Baptist Church uses the King James Bible exclusively in all teaching and preaching.

2. The Godhead
There is one God, eternal and all-powerful, existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19). These three are one in essence but distinct in person and role, each fully divine.

3. The Creator
God created all things, including angels and humanity, and sustains the universe continually (Gen. 1:1; Col. 1:16). Humans are made in His image, responsible to live wisely and morally under His authority.

4. Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man (Jn. 1:14; Phil. 2:6-7), sent by the Father to redeem humanity. He was miraculously born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life, perfectly uniting His divine and human natures.

5. The Savior
Jesus Christ died on the cross as a substitute for sinners, was buried, and rose bodily on the third day (I Cor. 15:3-4). He now reigns in heaven and intercedes for all believers (Heb. 7:25).

6. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is fully God, working in creation, inspiring Scripture, and regenerating believers (Jn. 3:5; II Pet. 1:21). He indwells, guides, sanctifies, and empowers every Christian for holy living and service.

7. Sin
All people are sinners by nature and choice (Rom. 5:12), subject to God’s just judgment (Matt. 25:46). Sin separates us from God, and only His grace can restore us.

8. Salvation
Salvation is by faith alone in Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-9), through repentance and trust in His finished work on the cross. Believers are born again, justified, adopted, redeemed, and assured of eternal life (Jn. 3:16; I Pet. 1:18-25).

9. Holy Living
The Holy Spirit works in believers to make them more like Christ. Christians are called to obey God, separate from sin, and grow in godliness throughout their lives (Rom. 12:1-2).

10. The Church
The church is a local assembly of saved and baptized believers (Acts 2:41-42). It exists to worship God, teach His Word, evangelize, and administer the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Church leadership includes pastors and deacons, and all members serve using spiritual gifts (Rom. 12; I Cor. 12).

11. Last Things
Christ may return at any time (Matt. 24:42). His second coming will be followed by tribulation, the millennial kingdom, the final judgment of the unsaved, and eternal life for believers (Rev. 20:1-6).
